Description of the house

The house is carefully renovated in 2018 and has a typical swedish charme. The fine old details are still visible after the renovation. The house is beautifully located in Småland, in the south of Sweden, and it´s close to the lake Sibbasjön, which is only located 200m from the house. One can enjoy the peacefulness and naturelife directly around and nearby the house. It is enclosed by meadows and majestic woods. The hike to the lake is through a beautiful private forest, a part of which is a nature reserve. With some luck you can sometimes behold a curious and surprised moose.

At the lake there is a boat which is included in the price. there are good fishingpossibilities in the lake Sibbasjön, here you can catch pike and perch. No fishingpermit is needed.

The recreational activities include: to walk, to ride a bicycle, to paddle canoe on the lake Åsnen, and to go and make magnificent trips by car. You can really take it easy and relax f.e. with a picnic basket in the gorgeous landscape, simply everywhere, and your bathing suit is packed too.

Of course can you try out your angle-skills in the other fish-rich lakes in the area, aswell. The house is located close to the towns of Urshult and Tingsryd (city council Tingsryd) and about 15 km located from the national park Åsnen. On the lake Åsnen there´s definitely a lot to discover; either by boat or canoe.

The area around the lake Åsnen provides many attractions. There are hiking- and bicycle-trails, swimming pools, fantastic nature barbecue areas (usually there´s ready-made wood available) and some typical Swedish shops where you can buy fruit, vegetables, cheese, fish or honey fresh home made or home grown. There´s plenty to explore, to experience and to enjoy.

Closeby there are many rural shops. But if you look for something more urban, spectacular or bigger, you need a drive to the cities of Älmhult (the birthplace of IKEA) or Växjö. The distance is about 50 kilometres.
